Door Accessories

There are many purposes for door accessories. They can also add security, accessibility and visual appeal.

Door sweeps, thresholds and weatherstripping keep wind, rain and insects out of your door panel and frame; sidelights and transoms let the sunshine flood into your entryway and improve it.

There are many different styles of door handles and levers to suit the décor of your home. It is easier than ever to get a set to fit together, with matching rosette patterns.

Entrance Sets
This is door hardware that’s used on the entrance to your main living rooms and usually comes in handles or levers with deadbolt locks for security and added style on your front or garage door.

Most people get a keyed entry lockset on their front door, but you can also get them for the back entry into the house or side-entry garage doors. It might be better to switch to keyless entry systems if you have children or pets with active lives, and have all the people in the house open it with codes or apps.

One-piece entry sets take the knob or lever and deadbolt and make it all one piece for a contemporary look that is very trendy with homeowners who live in contemporary homes. These handles also hide deadbolt styles for a discrete, minimalist look.

Passage Sets
Passage sets are lockless with a latch so they work well for doors that don’t need privacy like closet, pantries and laundromat doors. They open with a knob or lever; there is an emergency egress function so you can turn it off with short items (like end of paperclips) stuck through openings on interior rosettes.

Even if your hall doesn’t need to be locked, you can use privacy pins on the door knobs for added privacy and security. These are installed into new or used door frames by drilling the pin through the latch tongue.

Dummy Sets
Dummy door knob sets beautify your house even though they don’t work just like the door handles. They’re wonderful finishing touches on door to the closet or one that does not need to be opened or secured (for example, French or decorative double doors) and give rooms such as linen closets an elegant appearance.

Full and half dummy sets can be installed either side of a door for a realistic effect and can even be used in conjunction with passage or keyed door hardware to have one functional and the other empty.

Dummy sets are easy to set up and blend in with the hardware you already have for a striking look in any room or office. We have something to please everyone – contemporary classic style one among them; or add some coolness with shiny brass. They even have solid bronze versions which are stronger against corrosion than other metals.

Knobs & Levers
There are some different choices that you can make about the type of door handle and lever that you like, that meets your requirements, and also your style. Both designs can be used for different homes, but levers are likely to be preferable for the more mobile individual because it doesn’t take twisting your wrist to work.

Levers have a stylish look to match any modern or transitional decor and their stronger material is safer in homes with infants or people with disabilities. But their shape will get stuck on a shirt or a bag and make opening them with your fingers hard.

Knobs and levers have many different designs and finishes. Choose one that goes with the rest of your home’s decor and coordinates with any other metallic touches in your home, like lights, cabinet pulls or furniture. Ideally, keep handles and levers in the same finish but mix and match.
