Read 67 Reviews. My sons -- one driven by academics and the other by athletics -- thrived at the school. Yes, the very environment encourages students to strive for excellence, but the boys are supported as they determine what that means to each of them individually. The classical curriculum can be demanding, but each year prepares the boys for what is to come. The school has been able to maintain a fine balance between remaining firmly rooted in their founding mission and history while implementing progressive educational practices.
Read 37 Reviews. The motto of "academic excellence" is embodied by every aspect of Keystone, with dedicated students and useful teachers determined to learn in the best way possible. More than anything else, my Keystone education has taught me to be a free thinker while still respecting others, allowing me to form my own opinions and look at situations objectively. While the school is inherently challenging, the overall experience is definitely worth it, preparing young adults not only for college but also giving them the tools to be successful and caring members of society.
All Middle School students are required to dabble into three languages, two instruments, a musical, and all regular seasonal sports. In Upper School, it is not uncommon to find numerous students who are on academic honor roll, while also playing three sports and fulfill their fine arts credit every year.
Attending Kinkaid and taking advantage of their boundless opportunities makes their students top candidates for colleges, given that they should have strong standardized test scores and a packed resume. Many of the students come from wealthy white families who live near the area and are very connected outside of school, whether that be through familial ties or social organizations and country club memberships.

In concurrence with diversity, one of Awty's strengths is their exceptional language program. The social sciences and language departments are also very strong at Awty speaking from my experiences as a high schooler. On the other hand, one area of improvement for Awty is the extracurricular and art programs. There are a few consistently well-performing high school extracurriculars such as the Ethics Bowl team; however, the majority of Awty's clubs are not well developed or consistent and hence, do not enjoy frequent success.
The same can be said for some of the arts programs such as orchestra and dance, while not for others such as band. What stood out to me the most about Cooper was its excellent college counseling department. Generally, 11th and 12th grade have reputations for being stressful years regardless of what high school you attend.
While the workload was a lot, I still felt extremely supported by my teachers and by my college counselor: these people made me feel very safe and capable during my time at Cooper. Rescheduling tests due to sickness or feeling stressed out was never a problem. However, the lost star in this rating comes from the lack of diversity and sports programs. I, among others, felt very ostracized at Cooper; the students are very "cliquey" and somewhat exclusive when deciding who they'll associate with.
With regards to the sports programs, there is not an equal amount of school spirit and emphasis among sports. Agnes has definitely prepared me for college. I really appreciate that about this school. I have had quite a few minor complaints over the years, some with the admin, some with the strictness of the school, but they all seem like nothing when i look back at my overall time at St agnes. The teachers care SO much about their students, sometimes the teachers were the only people who kept me going at times.
There will be several mental breakdowns throughout your time at St. Agnes due to the difficult workload and courses, but I would say it is well worth it in the end. St Agnes has made me who I am today and has brought me together with some of my best friends who I know I will be friends with for life. We started in Montessori. My children are now in 4th and 7th grades.
Academics are rigorous and challenging as I feel they should be. The students are given opportunities to choose from either fine arts and sports for their extra curricular activities. My children have participated and enjoyed being part both. Read 52 Reviews. In addition, the diversity of the students at Village makes this place so unique. Gaining exposure to the various cultures present at this school has definitely made me more open-minded and accepting of people of different backgrounds. We saw the genuine character of the community during Hurricane Harvey: every single student was in the city, serving, every single day, with the administration tasking Seniors to contact any and all students they know to make sure they were out serving.

The personal, spiritual, and intellectual growth that has been fostered over the past two years has shaped me into the person I am today. Jesuit is unique in its ability to foster a brotherhood between students; my classmates and I have built relationships that I am confident will last a lifetime.
Even with a maxed schedule, I look forward to going to school every day. The academics are as difficult as you choose them to be, but the administration does a great job allowing the student to try new things and challenge themselves academically. I was by no means one of the "popular kids", and I came in relatively late 8th grade compared to my classmates who had been together since kindergarten, but I found my niche playing sports and ended up loving my time there. The class size was small and I was able to get to know my teachers well because of the amount of attention I was able to receive from them.
I became close with my teachers and felt that they supported me throughout my time there. Academically, I was very well prepared for college thanks to the investment of the teachers I had at TVS. The Trinity Valley campus is clean and well kept. I always felt safe walking around campus by myself and the community was tight-knit. I could not have asked for a better experience! Read 65 Reviews. Not only did FWCD prepare me academically, the numerous opportunities to get involved with clubs and athletics provided for a really well-rounded school experience.
Since graduating, I can now appreciate the incredible community that FWCD has built; I still have relationships with my teachers to this day! Read 81 Reviews. Every girl bonds over the lack of makeup worn on a daily basis and our "I just rolled out of bed" appearance became the norm. However, the administration is very strict about odd things. As a high school senior I would like to be able to wear a college sweatshirt but it is not allowed.
After four years at a college prep school you would think Ursuline would be proud to have its seniors display their accomplishment of college. During my four years here I have discovered that Ursuline is such a bubble. We do not get many real life experiences even with our high tuition. That is another thing, nothing is covered by tuition Their education is the best that I have experienced, with a sense that my teachers care about me and treat each and every one of the students individually.
The schedule is suitable, almost everyone having a study hall mod , and an equal proportion of time to each class period, with a 10 minute break and hour lunch break included. The students here are sincere once you fit in, and seem to enjoy their life here. The one thing that I would like to see improve is the P. However, I am fully satisfied with all other aspects of this school, with great education and a variety of lunches catered.
I'd say all the students grow to be well-rounded individuals with every advantage at succeeding in life. Unlike Keystone that focuses, in my opinion, too much on academics, TMI focuses on the overall happiness and well-being of its students, while providing an engaging environment for student life and college-preparatory education.
The campus is absolutely beautiful, and because the school is relatively small, students are trusted to act like adults and given freedoms and opportunities you won't find at other schools.
